Research and Innovation in the service of Economy and Society EU Neighborhood and the Black Sea Region

The Conference aims to support the reinforcement of cooperation with European Neighbourhood countries as well as the Black Sea region, on bridging the gap between research and innovation. Within this framework, the two day Conference, during the GR Presidency of the EU, will support in particular the sectors of:
Marine & Maritime Research
Sustainable Energy & Clean Technologies Applications
Considering the above, the Conference is based on the following main elements:
Capitalisation and endorsement of R2I achievements on supporting innovation based growth and the collaboration, as well as results in the above-mentioned thematic areas, in order to be used as a bridge for the preparation of next steps and initiatives of mutual benefit, by the European Neighbourhood countries and the Black Sea region
Incorporation of the INCO Policy strategy for the European Neighbourhood within the framework “HORIZON 2020”
Scientific interdisciplinarity and strong involvement of key industries from the European Neighbourhood and the Black Sea region, which is expected to participate in the Conference and interact with the research community.
